Who Is Reach Wellbeing?
Reach Wellbeing is a private counselling practice where the core principle is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to explore.Reach Wellbeing isn’t a clinical service that labels or diagnoses you. It’s a professional space where you can explore what matters to you, at your pace, whilst being seen as an individual.Reach Wellbeing values and beliefs aim to create:
- A calm environment
- Clear boundaries
- Non-judgemental and safe space
- Ethical, confidential support
- Counselling that feels personal rather than institutionalThe name “Reach” comes from seeing my son learn to swim for the first time and seeing his confidence grow with support and guidance when he was taking a first step into the unknown.

I’m Simon, a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) qualified counsellor and the founder of Reach Wellbeing.I created this practice with the belief that people deserve a safe space where they can be honest without judgement, or pressure, and the safety to explore what's going on for them.My values are deep rooted in respect, empathy and authenticity. As well as personal moral qualities and principles these values underpin my everyday practice, which they align with the BACP to work within their ethical framework. For more BACP information see link below.During my 4 years of training which lead to my counselling qualification, I have gained a range of experience working with clients who have shared experiences of
- Loss / Bereavement
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship breakdown
- Cultural stigma
- TraumaMy experience has also included working for CAHN (Caribbean and African Health Network) and Leigh Family Welfare to support those in need.
Starting counselling could feel uncertain and sometimes daunting. It’s normal to feel unsure about what to say, where to begin or when to reach out.In our first session, we’ll talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope might feel different in the future. There is no pressure to explain everything perfectly — we will work through it together to ensure you feel heard and understood. All sessions are private and confidential within clear and professional boundaries. My role is not to judge or direct you, but to help you understand yourself more clearly as I firmly believe you are the expert in your own life.Counselling is a therapeutic process and may not provide a quick solution. Some sessions may feel reflective and steady; where other sessions may feel challenging. However, each session is important in the meaningful change to reach forward.

I currently offer one-to-one online person-centred counselling for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes and are available online through Zoom or Microsoft teams. You may come to counselling with a specific difficulty, or simply a sense that something isn’t sitting right - both are welcome.Clients often seek support around:
-Anxiety
-Constant overthinking
-Low mood
- Depression
-Stress and/or burnout
-Relationship difficulties
-Life changes or transitions
-Identity and self-esteem
-Feeling stuck or disconnected
- Trauma
- BereavementI do offer a free 15 minute consultation call. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, answer your queries and see whether working together feels right for you. This is one of the most important aspects of the therapeutic process being able to collaborate together. For enquiries, you can either click 'Enquiry form' to fill or 'Email enquiries' to request more information and I will be in contact with you directly :-
